OCA YOGA – Yoga with Kes Cardoso
I began to practice Kundalini Yoga in 2011, and now as a certified yoga teacher I have no doubt this practice has changed my life completely. Thanks to years of practice and the completion of my Kundalini Yoga teacher training (2015), through time I have experienced many health and mental improvements.
I was trained in traditional kundalini yoga according to the teachings of the Master Yogi Bhajan, and with time and experience in this practice, I have slowly found my own path which I call Kundalini Yoga Flow: a more suave and fluid kriya yoga practice, detached from dogmas, accessible to all and adapted to our community in the French Riviera.
Kundalini Yoga has opened my horizon and today I also practice and teach other types of Yoga, such as Sound Therapy (Yoga of Sound), Yin Yoga and Aerial Yoga. That’s why I created OcaYoga: my traveling yoga home, with practices and people that complement each other in harmony, with out judgment.
Yoga, Pranayama and the Vibration of Sound became my life practice, and thanks to it, today my perception and my intuition are more refined, I have more internal balance – which strongly influenced my work, my relationships and my lifestyle. My wish as a teacher and guide is to use these beautiful practices to bridge the gap between you and your own own wise and awakened self.
OCAYOGA: The House of Pachamama Yoga
«Oca» is the name given to the typical Brazilian indigenous housing. A hut or shack, the term comes from the Tupi-Guarani language.
The ocas are buildings of big dimension, they are built through joint effort including the help of all members of the tribe, using natural materials such as a wooden structure and bamboo and straw cover or palm leaves. They can last for many years and serve as collective housing for several families.
This is OcaYoga: the house of yoga in the middle of the forest, right in the arms of Mother Nature, Pachamama. A place to get together wherever we are in the world, to share the breath of life, to practice transformative asanas and to sing and play music medicine.
I teach regular group classes and other group activities in Nice and the Côte d’Azur, and you are welcome to join.
PS. Classes are usually taught in French. Please, check the French OcaYoga Page to know more info and details.
