FULL MOON IN 7° AQUARIUS
July 31st, 12h42 CEST
It’s blue moon. And, unfortunately, that does not mean the moon will turn blue right in front of our very eyes (I know… That would be kinda cool). Blue moon is how we name the not so rare phenomenon (occurring every 2-3 years or so) of having 2 consecutive full moons in one single month: July 2015 hosts both the Capricorn Full Moon (July 2nd) and the upcoming Aquarius Full Moon (July 31st).
Now, brace yourself. Full moons bring emotionally charged days leading to culmination and release, and having two Full Moons in one month means that this month has a potential to be an emotional roller coaster for many of us.
The Sun has been gradually moving from Cancer (water sign representing the nurturing mother) to Leo (fire sign representing the ego), and you have been deconstructing yourself during the last few weeks to give birth to a new you. You are going from breakdown to breakthrough. This is not an easy process, being born is painful and exhausting. Maybe you’ve been going through changes at work, in relationships or even internally. You are receiving positive new ideas and new insights on how to improve your circumstances. But you still feel like you are operating in crises mode. These are times for challenge, because it is only through challenge that we grow.
The lesson between the Moon in Aquarius and the Sun in Leo is: find balance between your individuality and your community. Aquarius is the air sign that represents humanitarianism, the tribe and the common will. But Leo is proud of its uniqueness and wants to shine in its own light. The cosmos is illuminating your conflict between your individual and the team.
Venus is also retrograde until September 6th and will have a lasting shadow period until October 9th. Some of you will be romantically needy, others will struggle with a dead end relationship. You will either want to move to the next level or let go — bring the drama! — but for the most part, you will feel stuck, indecisive, afraid and unable to move on within your love and work areas. Take it easy. Use this venus retrograde to rest and cool. Chances are, by the end of it, you will probably change your mind about what is supposedly killing you now. If you can, leave the final decision for the end of the Venusian retrograde.
These are days to focus on the me-and-we relationship, the self and the other. Go for independence, freedom and community spirit. And remember: balance is key — if we are too focused on others and what they need or demand of us, or if we are too focused on ourselves and what we need or want from others — this Full Moon will bring the imbalance to Light. It may not look pretty, but it will be worth it.
